Keeler D-KAT (R-Type)

Digital R-type style applanation tonometer is designed to be used with the H series slit lamp (tower illumination). The R-type applanation tonometer is fixed allowing for it to easily swing into and out of position as needed without being removed. Each unit contains a calibration arm and a re-usable tonometer cone.

The Goldmann principle is considered to be the most prevalent method of tonometry, as it is the most widely accepted method of determining the approximate intraocular pressure. The Keeler-manufactured Goldmann tonometers are designed and built to our exacting standards to give you the accuracy and quality you expect from a Keeler device.

Bright LED display makes for ease of use in darkened environments. Display reading to 1 decimal point.

Description

DIGITAL PRECISION

The Keeler D-KAT (R-Type) Digital Applanation Tonometer is a screening device used to measure intraocular pressure, one of the key biomarkers considered in diagnosing glaucoma. The D-KAT uses the same trusted Goldmann principle found in non-digital tonometers, but removes the potential for error when reading from a dial by displaying the IOP on a clear LED screen. The R-Type mounts on the tonometer post on the microscope and is compatible with both Z-Style and H-Style illumination systems.
