A Z-Type Goldmann Applanation Tonometer (GAT), is a versatile measurement device for a wide variety of Z-Style slit lamps with lower illumination. Fully mechanical, it can be used and calibrated without the need for battery power.

USAGE OVERVIEW
All Keeler Applanation Tonometers (KATs) use the Goldmann method of measuring intraocular pressure (IOP), which involves calculating the force required to flatten a constant area of the cornea (3.06mm in diameter). The force is applied to the cornea by correct use of the slit lamp, applanation tonometer and tonometer prism. This method is trusted globally, as the ‘gold-standard’ for accuracy, to aid in the diagnosis of glaucoma.
ZKAT is designed for use with lower-illumination Z-style slit lamps.
