Reichert Model 30 Pneumatonometer

The Reichert® Model 30™ Pneumatonometer is a precision multi-modality tonometry system designed for accurate intraocular pressure measurements, ocular pulse amplitude assessment, and optional tonography analysis. Featuring innovative floating pneumatic sensor technology and intuitive touchscreen operation, it combines clinically proven applanation methodology with advanced diagnostic capabilities to deliver fast, reliable results with minimal corneal property influence.

Key Features

  • Unique Pneumatic Technology: Utilizes a gentle, floating pneumatic sensor on an air bearing that applies precisely regulated filtered air pressure to the anesthetized cornea, measuring IOP when applanation force equals anterior chamber pressure with minimal corneal property interference.
  • Multi-Modality Diagnostics: Provides comprehensive tonometry measurements (5-80 mmHg range), ocular pulse amplitude assessment with waveform charting and recording, plus optional tonography mode for evaluating aqueous outflow efficiency of the trabecular meshwork.
  • Intuitive Touchscreen Interface: Features a 4.3-inch full-color LCD TFT display with icon-based operating system that enables even inexperienced users to obtain measurements in seconds, with clear visual guidance through the measurement process.
  • Enhanced Workflow Efficiency: Optional footswitch operation (included with tonography kit) frees operators to concentrate on probe handling, while optional PC software enables seamless data transfer for comprehensive patient record management.
  • Clinical Excellence: Trusted worldwide by specialists and researchers as the instrument of choice, with research demonstrating measurements less affected by corneal properties than other tonometry methods, ensuring reliable diagnostic information.
  • Robust Design & Reliability: Compact dimensions (14″W x 10.5″D x 5.25″H) with long-life 14 PSI air pump (3,000 hour rated), proudly designed and assembled in the USA under ISO 13485 certified quality processes for lasting durability and dependable performance.

Description

GENTLE PRECISION

The Reichert® Model 30™ Pneumatonometer is an easy to use instrument that provides fast and accurate tonometry and optional tonography functions. The probe tip, which floats on an air bearing, is gently touched to the anesthetized cornea and a precisely regulated flow of filtered air applies force to the tip. A small (5 mm diameter) fenestrated membrane permits the air to flow through vents in the tip until it conforms to the shape of the cornea. When these forces are in balance, a pneumatic sensor records the intraocular pressure.

THREE MODES, ONE POWERFUL INSTRUMENT

  • Floating Pneumatic Sensor
    • A gentle, floating pneumatic sensor touches the surface of the anesthetized cornea with the exact amount of applanation force required to take the measurement.
  • Intuitive Touch Screen Interface
    • The icon-based operating system enables even inexperienced users to make measurements in seconds with the 4.3 inch full color LCD TFT display.
  • Multi-Modality Capability
    • Provides tonometry, ocular pulse amplitude measurements, and optional tonography mode for measuring aqueous outflow efficiency of the trabecular meshwork.
  • Less Affected by Corneal Properties
    • Research indicates measurements obtained with the Model 30 are less affected by corneal properties than other methods of tonometry.
  • Trusted by Specialists Worldwide
    • Frequently the instrument of choice of specialists and researchers around the globe.
  • Wide Measurement Range
    • Provides consistent measurements across a range of 5 – 80 mmHg.
  • Optional Footswitch Control
    • The optional tonography kit includes a footswitch, freeing the operator to concentrate on handling the sensor probe.
  • ISO 13485 Certified Quality
    • Reichert products are designed and manufactured under quality processes meeting ISO 13485 requirements.
